First We Take Berlin: M.A.N.D.Y., Wankelmut, Soundboy Rock, and more discuss life and the vibrant music scene in the German capital

To say we’re excited about hosting a party with the influential Get Physical Music & Poesie Musik crew would be an understatement. We’re counting down the hours before we open the doors on Thursday night at Arena Club for the First We Take Berlin event, co-hosted by our friends at Traktor. We’ve been big fans of Get Physical Music since the days before Beatport even existed, and we’re super-excited to be partying with them after sharing 10 years in dance music together. The label, established back in 2002, represents a very huge part of the Berlin scene, birthing the sounds of M.A.N.D.Y., Booka Shade, DJ T, and many more. Wankelmut's newly launched Poesie Musik is set to help move the house and tech-house sound of Berlin even further towards the future.
